Jazz comments on Customer Service and Aircraft Services divisions ratification result

HALIFAX, Nov. 13 /CNW/ - Jazz Air LP (Jazz) has been advised by the Canadian Auto Workers (CAW) that the ratification vote for the tentative agreement which was reached on October 27, 2009 with its Customer Service Agents and Aircraft Services employees resulted in a 56% no vote.

In view of this result, Jazz and the CAW will meet with the federally-appointed mediations officer as soon as possible to discuss next steps.

The CAW represents approximately 950 Customer and Aircraft Services employees at Jazz.

On September 12, the agreement reached with Jazz's Technical Services (Maintenance and Engineering) division was ratified. Jazz Technical Services employees are also represented by the CAW.

Jazz is the second largest airline in Canada based on fleet size, operating approximately 760 flights daily to 82 destinations in Canada and the United States.
