Jazz Customer Services and Aircraft Services divisions ratify labour agreement

HALIFAX, Dec. 16 /CNW/ - Jazz Air LP (Jazz) announced today that their Customer Services and Aircraft Services divisions, represented by the Canadian Auto Workers (CAW) have ratified a tentative agreement which was reached on October December 3, 2009. The agreement will be in place for a three-year period.

The CAW represents approximately 950 Customer and Aircraft Services employees at Jazz.

"Congratulations and thank you to all who have been involved in this process. This is the second of our labour contracts to be ratified and a positive step forward as we position ourselves to continue to compete, grow and diversify," said Joseph D. Randell, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jazz.

On September 12, Jazz also ratified an agreement with its Technical Services (Maintenance and Engineering) division. Jazz Technical Services are also represented by the CAW.

 

Jazz is the second largest airline in Canada based on fleet size, operating approximately 775 flights daily to 82 destinations in Canada and the United States.
